Hi Everyone,
Today was a big day! SHIFT: Managing Your Emotions—So They Don’t Manage You published earlier this morning followed shortly after by my first TED Talk.
Friends have been reaching out all day to ask how it feels to have these two projects out in the world. My response: overwhelming excitement, a little apprehension, and deep feelings of gratitude to everyone who has supported SHIFT and my TED talk along the way.
THANK YOU.
There are many exciting developments coming up, including pieces in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and NPR. Stay tuned! For those interested in a wide-ranging conversation about our at times messy emotional lives, and how to manage them, check out my recent discussion on the Huberman podcast.
Several of you have asked how you can support Shift. Here are some ways to contribute:
Get the book. I wrote it to share everything I know about emotion regulation with you. I’d love to know wha you think!
Attend a SHIFT Book Event. I’ll be traveling around the country to discuss the book over the next two weeks. We launched today with three exciting events. Join me at the next one!
Share the book. If you know someone interested in emotions or who could benefit from better understanding how to manage them, please help spread the word!
Leave an online review. Share your thoughts about SHIFT so others can know what you think!
Happy Shifting,
Ethan
